Monday Memos Week 2 Term 3

With the settling back in week out the way it’s time to get stuck in and demonstrate what a Year 6 student can achieve. Here is a few dot points for the week: Glass jars Keep them coming in please. We hope that every student will have one by next Monday so we can carry out the desired task. Spelling - List 20 Group 1: ‘m’ (autumn, tombstone, gruesome) Group 2: ‘e’ for long ‘ee’ sound (evil, female, chameleon) UOI - Where we are in place and time This week students are carrying out and completing an assignment on a person or organisation that has explored (invented, discovered) and changed our world as a result. The assignment is due Friday and students are encouraged to present anyway they would like to. If you wish to see the assignment, check their Seesaw account. Monday Week 1 Term 3

Welcome back to the final semester of primary schooling for you Year 6 child. This term we will be getting stuck in and working through two units of inquiry (We We Are in a Place and Time & How the World Works).  In completing these two units we will move onto the Year 6 Exhibition process. If you know nothing about this, stay tuned for more information. If you have had a previous experience with a child engaged in this process, things will be a little different this year. We look forward to a positive final couple of terms and encourage students to make the most of their last months at primary school.
