Well, as we head deeper into uncharted waters, we hope that you all find ways to stay healthy both physically and mentally. Here are the key points we have for you from Year 6.  Please keep an eye on the blog as we may at times post different ideas and thoughts to help out over this tricky period as well as try to keep students and parents updated with the learning activities we set. Canberra Camp   -  While our planned trip to Canberra is looking more and more unlikely to go ahead, at this stage we will make a firm decision at the end of term, Thursday the 9th of April and we will communicate with families soon after that. Should it not go ahead at the planned time, we will consider all of the possible alternatives and make some decisions as things unfold. Spelling -  Working on ‘ei’ and ‘ie’ to make the ‘ee’ sound. Week 8 Term 1 Memo

Well here we go ladies and gentlemen, we are off and running again into a new week with more nuts and bolts to attend to. Spelling: This week we look at ‘ ei ’ or ‘ eigh ’ to make the ‘ ai ’ sound. This includes cracking words like inveigle. In a sentence this word may appear like this... ’We cannot inveigle this student to do their work.’ So what does this word actually mean? Kitchen Garden: Due to a special exploration lesson this week to kick start our future food event, we will be having a theory based lesson for SAKG and therefore will not need the support of our wonderful cooking volunteers.  The following week however will see our ovens lit and our range hoods hot and ready again for some cooking of cultural cuisines. Extravaganza: A big thank you to all the student and parent volunteers that helped out on Saturday and made the event a success. It was wonderful to see so many out and about. Welcome to this year's PYP Exhibition

The Exhibition is the culmination of the students' time and learnings in the PYP. It is a celebration of their learning journey and a way to see how far they have come as inquirers. This year, the exhibits are all online which has provided more opportunities for students to develop and present their IT skills.   To begin we would like you to watch this short clip that introduces the Sharing the Planet exhibits for 2020.   https://youtu.be/9SBT17Qr0e4   There are 10 exhibits this year based on a variety of global issues.
