The final play before the half time break, still a few things to do before we get to have a rest... Tuesday:   Stephanie Alexander Kitchen/Mathematics Shopping Excursion We will be heading off to Coles in the morning to get our ingredients together for the Street Food evening Wednesday. Students will be walking to and from Coles for this excursion and accompanied by school staff.  Wednesday : Street Food evening Students will spend the day preparing for the evening and head home at the normal time. They are expected to be back at school by 6pm to begin preparing (the German group will be serving).  For the evenings catering and space, please remember that each student is restricted to two guests. Drinks will be available also during the evening.  Students are not being supplied food during the evening, they are here to serve their guests. Please make sure they have had some tea prior to getting here. Thursday: Clean up from the night before and reflect. Friday: Prepare for the holidays

Not far now to the mid year break and a well earned rest for many. It has been a busy time over the last four weeks and we are not quite finished with that yet. Still to come is the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden ‘Street Food’ Evening. (More information on that below.) Street Food Night (Celebrating the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program) While we haven’t been able to get you the details earlier, we hope you have been able to mark on your calendar Wednesday evening of the 23rd of June. On that evening, students will be able to have 2 guests each attend. (This number is due to catering and size of the area available area) We ask that students promptly arrive at 6:00pm so that they can do their final food preparation for serving. Students will be presenting their food from their team stands that also represent their culture of study for LOTE.  The evening will commence at 6:00pm with a complimentary pretzel to kick off proceedings and drinks will be available from our drinks

By the end of this week, we will have moved into the school house on East Terrace. Should be a bit of fun operating from up there and a unique experience for the students. Here’s some information from around the grounds this week... Mrs Eckermann: Mrs Eckermann is looking to return to light duties on Wednesday and Thursday this week. If you get a chance to say ‘g’day’ I’m sure she’ll appreciate it. Spelling: Double letters again this week with words coming from list 14. Government Game assignment: Students are currently putting all their new found Civics and Citizenship knowledge into producing a game. This is due Wednesday of Week 8 (next week). This task is on Seesaw so students can share easily with you what the task is. SAKG Food Stalls Wednesday evening in Week 9 will be a showcase of Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden as well as the students LOTE studies so far this year.
