Here is the plan for the day, do what you can as best you can. If you decide to not do things in this order, that is fine. This timetable is our way to help provide structure and balance to the day. All the best.

1901 is a year of great importance to Australia. Write in 100 words why this is so. In responding to this question, we will be looking for some key words. The words we want to see in your writing are Federation and Constitution. (You will need to do some research for this) Post your 100-word response on Teams.

Take a photo of your lunch. What does your lunch express about your own personal culture? It could be country related, society related, moment in time related etc.
Post your photo and your explanation on Seesaw. When you post it, choose the folder labelled UOI – Cultural Expression

Here is are some ideas or questions to guide your response:

Where did the (sandwich) originate from?  
Is there a reason why sandwiches are used in lunch boxes so often?
Do the contents of my lunch box represent my family in any way?
Does my lunch include healthy options? (why or why not)
Is my lunch what I typically eat when I’m at school?
Is my lunch a cost-effective choice?
And anything else you can think of.

Think of a song that describes your day today. On Teams, post the name of the song, the artist and why you chose it. Also put a link to the song if you can. (Please make sure the language is age appropriate) If you want to go the extra mile, you could write down a part of the lyrics that helps explain why you chose that song. Be as creative as you need.

Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. The evening will commence with the graduation ceremony and will lead into an evening of enjoying each other’s company one last time as a group.  So that things run smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
