 Working with Children Checks (WWCC)

·         All National Police Checks will not be valid after 30 June 2020.   Many of our school parents / volunteers still hold the NPC so to continue volunteering on site at Immanuel please update your check to the WWCC.  This is a government requirement introduced 1 July 2019.

·         The WWCC check can be initiated via emailing jennyj@ilsg.sa.edu.au with your name and date of birth.  It is free as a volunteer.

Valuing Safe Communities (VSC) - Volunteer Training for parents / friends

·         Daryl Trigg will host VSC training sessions on Weds 17 June at 2.30pm or 6.30pm in the staffroom (limited numbers).

“NUT AWARE” School

·         As noted in the Parent Handbook  Immanuel is a ‘Nut Aware’ school - we do not prohibit ‘nuts’ across the school, however, when there is a student in a certain class that has a nut (or another food) allergy, that classroom/cluster may become a ‘nut (etc) free zone’.

·         Please note that we have students who have nut allergies (& are anaphylactic and require EpiPen’s) in Year 4 Jones and in year 3 McDonalds/Rollings class.   To minimise the risk we ask students from those classes not to bring food items containing nuts (eg peanut paste, muesli bars, etc).

Uniform

·         Please remember to name all school green jumpers and rugby tops, drink bottles and lunch boxes.  Then if something is lost we can easily return it.   There are so many in the office lost property box with no names.
