Monday Memos Week 5 Term 3
Welcome to a new week and happy science week.
This week we are spending some time looking at science with a marine focus. This morning, we were able to watch a virtual performance from the Marine Team. They highlighted:
- Ocean Sustainability
- Oceans impact on our planet
- Solutions that generate healthy oceans
- Embracing innovative ocean technology

Correct shoes to wear at school
- There is a significant number
of students wearing sneakers instead of the correct leather shoes when in
formal uniform.
If you child needs to wear sneakers for any reason then we would appreciate a note to say why.

Uniform: Supportive sports shoes with white socks (anklet or ankle
height)
Formal
Uniform: Black lace up shoes or girl buckle style with white socks (ankle
height)
Boys: Sports
Uniform: Supportive Sports shoes with white socks (anklet or ankle
height)
Formal Uniform: Black lace up shoes or Velcro style with grey socks (ankle height)

- This Thursday 20 August the Carers group will be baking and sending home the cupcakes to students who had ordered these back in term 1.

envelopes by Friday 21 August. These must be returned even if
you are not placing an order.
- Sibling group photo envelopes
are available from the office
- Students (in Yr 2-6) need to wear their full formal uniform (+ green jumper) whilst F-1 students will wear sports uniform (+ rugby jumper).
Casual
Day to
support Daffodil Day - Friday 28 August
- Students can wear casual clothes with a splash of yellow (T-shirt, socks, ribbons, etc) and bring a gold coin donation
Year
4’s are fundraising for sports equipment by:
- Guess the Jelly Bean Jar in the
office 50c / guess
- An Afternoon Stall on Friday 28 August selling biscuits, fruit kebabs, cake and brownies – all at 50 cents each
Disco
Night
- Friday 28 August. F,1,2,3’s starts 6.00 -7.15pm / Yr 4,5,6 starts 7.30-8.45pm. Flyer with registration section will be sent home this week. Due to Covid regulations we cannot allow parents to gather and stay onsite during the Disco (other than those who are volunteering).
School Concert (F-3’s)
Due to COVID 19
restrictions the concert will be performed over 3 days which enables a larger
audience to view the performances over the week

Each concert will have a MATINEE performance commencing at 2.30pm and an EVENING performance commencing at 6.30pm - Tickets are free this year, however, there are restrictions. Please click here to find out how many tickets / family and how to order.
Friday 4 September is a Student Free Day
- Staff
will be onsite undertaking some professional development
- iGOSH will be open for those families who need care. The cost of the day is $60. Please book for this day now via the online booking system (bookings close at 2pm on Friday 28 August).
iGOSH Vacation Care Program
- We hope you enjoy reading the observations iGOSH staff write about your child. We would now like to incorporate group observations as well, which require consent for your child’s name and photo to be used in a group situation and on other children’s observations forms. There is more information and a checklist on the front desk at iGOSH. Please read and sign for your child.
Lost Jumpers
- There
are so many rugby jumpers in the office lost property box with no
name. Please remember to clearly name your child’s clothing
items.
