This week Group one is focusing on schwa (ure) and Group two has the focus of ie words. Both are from list 26.

Concert success!

Thank you to everyone (students, staff, parents, visitors) who contributed to and attended concert week last week.   
It was a really good concert, special thanks to Mr Hueppauff for all his organising. 

Assembly with the year 5’s was held today.

 Wellbeing and Circle Time

·         This week’s focus is on “Choose your own adventure”

 School Bus–  will not be available on Friday 25 September for the normal to/from school run (last day of term)

iGOSH

·         Click here to view the Sept/Oct Vacation Care Program.  Bookings close Friday 18 September at 2pm. Any bookings after this incur a $10 late booking fee, per day, per child.  Last vac care fees need to be paid and accounts under $500 to use the vac care program. 

·         Shoe boxes are needed tomorrow afternoon - if you have any please donate to iGOSH.   

·         The Question of the Month is “Do you think this type of feedback (putting pebbles into the yes and no jar) is an easy and effective way to provide feedback to our service”.  We would appreciate if you could answer this question next time you are dropping off or collecting your children. The feedback will then help us shape how we seek feedback from parents about our service.

Author of the book “Lost Sheep” Andrew Mcdonough is visiting us on Friday 18 September

Students can purchase his books (all $10 each) but pre-orders are necessary.

Summer Uniform – Term 4

·         Just a reminder to check your child’s summer uniform items ready for next term.    Remember to have the hat ready too. 

·         The uniform shop is open Monday mornings (8.30-9.15am) and Friday afternoons (3-3.45pm) for purchases.

·         There is a new formal uniform choice for girls consisting of navy blue skorts and white blouse

Andrea White facilitates this Mindfulness and Positive Psychology program for students

Graduation is a week and a half away, so I pose this question to you… what type of graduation parent do you think you’ll be this year? Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. We hope they enjoy! Graduation Evening Please see your invite for the details of time. The evening will commence with the graduation ceremony and will lead into an evening of enjoying each other’s company one last time as a group.  So that things run smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
