Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4
Sneaking closer and closer to the end of the game that has been 2020. What a cruel blow last weeks camp cancellation was. When you put it in perspective, we live in a very lucky country and an even luckier state where we haven't had the loss of life and frustration of being in full lock downs for weeks and or months at a time.

The Iron Man by Ted Hughes
Over the next couple of weeks we are looking at the novel 'The Iron Man'. As a part of this unit of learning we plan on watching the movie 'The Iron Giant'. The movie is PG rated, if for any reason you do not wish your child to view this movie, please let us know.
Whole School Info
Welcome back to school today. Some reminders are:
- Parents
and Caregivers are still allowed on the school grounds but should not be
entering classrooms
- Social
distancing on school grounds is still a SA Health requirement and we ask
that you are especially mindful of this in enclosed spaces at busy times
such as the start and end of the days
- The
bus service will run as normal
- iGOSH
is back to normal
- Which
upcoming school events are on / off will be advised as soon as we can
- A
letter regarding Semester 2 reports will be emailed home later this week
Immanuel’s Mini Recess time Instrumental Concerts are on this
week
- Parents
are able to attend, please ensure you sign in at the register in Taikondi
and practice social distancing
- Monday
with Dallas’ and Roger’s students
- Tuesday
& Thursday with Zed’s drum students
- Wednesday
with Karen’s piano students
- Friday’s
guitar session with Cameron is cancelled
2021 ICT Information Night for 2021 Yr 3 & Yr 4
parents
- The
onsite parent info night scheduled for this Weds 25 Nov will
not go ahead
- We
will now prepare a presentation and email this to year 2 and year 3
parents for you to watch at home at your leisure
Choir
- Mr
Hueppauff and the Choir students will not be doing
the trip to the Gawler shopping centres this Friday
Worship and Praise on Friday 27 November starts at
9.30am
- Mrs
Jones/Manning Foundation class will be presenting (as they
missed last Friday)
Parents and friends are welcome to join us at Worship and
Praise on Fridays. Please register to attend via the online

Assembly Monday 30 November starts at 2.45pm

Wellbeing and Circle Time

week’s topic is “courage” with a range of themes / year level

- Bookings
for 2021 Term 1 can now be made online too.
Term 1 2021 starts Wednesday 27 Jan 2021
- Accounts need
to be under $500 to access the holiday program and the previous holiday
fees paid in full
- Hats
are compulsory for all outside play at iGOSH and the school holidays. We
encourage children to have a school hat that they can leave at iGOSH to
use whenever they attend. These are available to purchase at iGOSH

- These
arrived last Tuesday and were sent home.

Christmas in Coming (Friday 4 Dec
5-8pm for school families)
- We
are still determining if this event will go ahead – stay tuned
Transition visits for 2021 foundations
- These
will go ahead as planned: Tues 1 Dec, Thurs 3 Dec and Mon 7 Dec –
all starting at 11.45am to 1.30pm
Move up day will be held on Monday 7
December.
- Students
will meet their 2021 teacher and spend some time in their new
classroom.
Bookpacks for 2021 will be sent home too.
Last school day for 2020 is Wednesday 9 December
- The
End of Year and Graduation Service will be held that day. However
due to Covid regulations still in place at this stage we cannot yet advise
if parents / or how many can attend
Celebration Evening for Yr 6’s – we
will let you know what may be in place soon
