We would like to wish everyone a fantastic school holiday period at the end of the week and hope that students come back well rested and ready for a fresh new term. In terms of news this week, here it is...

Camp Notes

We need these back ASAP so that we know final numbers. If your not attending, please send us an email just to let us know. (It will save some possible annoying phone tag)

Senior Unit Sports Top 

As per note, please check your names on the design as well as return form with money and shirt by Friday.

Spelling

We will be testing last week's words this week.

Vintage Car Rally Breakfast

On Sunday, the Senior Unit will be fundraising towards the Canberra Camp expenses. We require 3-4 more helpers to serve breakfast if you are available between 7.30 - 9am at the school.  You get the bonus of seeing the Vintage Cars assembling on the school oval. Let us know if you can help.

Whole School

Term 1 concludes this Friday 9 April, normal dismissal time.    We wish you all a safe and happy holiday break.  

Term 2 returns Tuesday 27 April (following Anzac Day public holiday).   Term 2 is a 9 week term and concludes Friday 25 June. 

Uniform Term 2

  • A reminder that Winter formal is to be worn as from next term
  • Shoes – we are noticing an increasing number of students wearing sports shoes on formal uniform days.
    Shoes on formal days should be able to ‘take a shine’ and be a ‘leather look’.
    Thanks for your support of this as you purchase shoes for winter.

iGOSH

  • April Vacation Care.  Although bookings are now closed you can still book in for some days by contacting Katrina Ponte direct.  Confirmations and Consent forms have been sent home. Please sign the consent form and return to school by the end of the week. 
  • We are still after 2L plastic milk / juice containers.  Please wash them out and drop them off at the iGOSH room. Thanks for all the donated containers so far.

The Gawler Veteran, Vintage & Classic Vehicle Club

  • Sunday 11 April 2021 departing from Immanuel School Gawler.

  • Cars arrive from 7.00am with breakfast being served from 7.00am to 9.00am. 
  • Official opening 9.00am and then the cars take to the road from 9.30am
  • School families welcome to come have a browse and watch the start.
  • Year 6’s will be helping with the brekky to fundraise for their upcoming camp to Canberra

Walk My Way - Saturday 1 May 2021

Graduation is a week and a half away, so I pose this question to you… what type of graduation parent do you think you’ll be this year? Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
