Monday Memos Week 5 Term 2

Canberra weather has been fresh but beautiful and it seems that everyone is getting the photos through both Seesaw and or on Facebook. Speaking of Seesaw, it has been wonderful to see so many comments from parents in response to the students sharing their experiences. I know many of the students have really appreciated receiving those messages, so on behalf of them I will say a big thank you.

COVID Check-In 

  • Just a reminder to all Immanuel parents and visitors to check in at Immanuel School Gawler using our QR Code which is displayed at each entrance gate and classroom.
  • There is a paper based check in form in the office for those who cannot check in using a mobile device.  

 

Year 6 Canberra Trip

  • The Year 6 students and accompanying staff are having a wonderful time in Canberra this week.  See our schools Facebook site for regular posts.

 

Cabaret 2021 

  • Friday 11 June 6.30pm
  • A celebration of music and dance
  • Entry will be free and bookings to attend will be open soon – stay tuned!

 

Youth Group

 

National Reconciliation week – starts 27 May to 3 June “More than a word. Reconciliation takes action”

  • Next Thursday 3 June our school’s indigenous students plus the year 1’s & 2’s will head to the Gawler Community and Sports Centre for the Kadlitiya Kids fun day.  More info for these students soon.

iGOSH will be available for the 3 weeks (28 June to 16 July)

The program will be available next Weds 2 June and bookings open at 5pmthat day.

Graduation is a week and a half away, so I pose this question to you… what type of graduation parent do you think you’ll be this year? Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. We hope they enjoy! Graduation Evening Please see your invite for the details of time. The evening will commence with the graduation ceremony and will lead into an evening of enjoying each other’s company one last time as a group.  So that things run smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
