Monday Memos Week 9 Term 3
Two weeks to go until the next set of holidays. There has been lots of talk about finals in sport in and around the classroom and we would like to congratulate all students who have had success in their chosen sporting fields.
Exhibition
We are getting deeper into the process and are working hard to get ourselves setup for individual/group driven inquiry to begin before the holidays. Currently we have made an extensive list of issues and solutions that impact us and or our community. The next step is to bring that list down to a manageable number and check that they fit with the Transdisciplinary Them: ‘Sharing the Planet’.
Spelling
List 24 - the ‘gu’ sound, as in guarantee and iguana
- The obstacle course fun run will be held Friday 17 September after lunch on the school oval
- All students will participate in the run, however only students wearing a white t-shirt will be sprayed with colour powder by a staff member. Therefore all students are encouraged to wear a white t-shirt when they arrive to school with their sports shorts/trackpants
- Please pack a towel for the ride home (or a change of top if attending iGOSH)
- Due to covid restrictions this event is for students only (no parent spectators)
- The school gates will open at 3.15pm (as this event will be held on the oval)
- Fundraising is via www.plantadifference.com.au, however there is no obligation to fundraise

- All families - Please do this before this Tues 14 Sept: Register your attendance and advise us on your child/rens transport requirements to / from sports day via the online booking system through www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code wzu23.
- Parents / caregivers can attend, however there is a capacity limit due to Covid requirements therefore the above registration process is a must. All those attending above the age of 12 will need to wear masks and follow Covid check-ins and social distancing requirements.
- A bus service is available for those students who cannot get dropped to, or be picked up from the venue. Afternoon school session at school, iGOSH and the normal school bus run (am/pm) will be available for those needing it.
- Weds 15 Sept at 9.30am (for anyone interested in enrolling at Immanuel)
- Online bookings close 2pm Friday 17 Sept. To book in after this date you will need to contact Katrina direct and these will be charged at the casual rate.
- Accounts from last vac care need to be paid and accounts need to be under $500 to use the service for the holiday period.
- iGOSH will be open Thurs 9 Dec to Thurs 23 Dec 2021
- Closed from 24 Dec to 9 Jan 2022
- Open Mon 10 Jan Jan through to start of school
- Winter formal uniform is still the policy for this term. If your child is wearing the incorrect uniform please provide a note to the teacher.
- Grey trousers or grey shorts can we worn, however boys wearing formal shorts need to wear the green woolen jumper as well
- From 2022 all students in F, 1 & 2 will wear the sports uniform
- From 2023 all students in F, 1, 2 & 3 will wear the sports uniform
- We continue to ask that Parents / Caregivers are not on site any more than is necessary
- Access to classrooms and other school buildings will remain limited to staff, students and essential services
- Parents/caregivers when entering the school will need to wear a face mask and check in via the QR code or complete the hard copy sign-in sheet in the office
- It remains essential that staff, students and others do not come on the school site if they are unwell and that they get tested for COVID-19
- Parents are asked to pass on these school COVID requirements to other family members and friends who may be collecting your child
