Monday Memos Week 4 Term 4
Plenty of exhibition organising this week as the expected day of going formally online fast approaches. Here are the bits and pieces to know for the Senior Unit:

Please remember that students need to be wearing hats during recess and lunch.

Disco
- Friday 5 November for all students. F/1’s 3.45-4.30pm; 2/3’s 6.00-7.15pm; 4,5,6’s 7.30-8.45pm
- $3 entrance fee.
- Last chance to register is tomorrow Tues 2/11. Click here for the form sent home with more details.
Pyjama Day (or Op Shop Clothes)
- Friday 5 November
- Theme is DJ-PJ. Students can wear their PJ’s or Op Shop Clothing
- This is an initiative by our year 6 students for their exhibition, raising money for homelessness
- Please bring a $2 gold coin donation for casual day (or return your money with the Disco registration form)
Open Day Tours (For new families wanting to enrol)
- Thurs 11 Nov & Weds 24 Nov at 9.30am.
- Taking applications for 2023 and beyond, although still a few places remaining for 2022 in some year levels.
Gawler Show
- Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November 2021
- Our school is having a site and will be part of the Treasure Trail and having some puzzles, games and small giveaways.
- We are looking for some students (particularly Yr 5’s & 6’s) to come and help on our stall for a 2 hour block each. (Parents are welcome to help too!)
- If your child (or yourself) can help please go to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter code w7hf7 and schedule yourself on at a time which suits you.
- The Gawler Show Office are also advertising for families, schools and children to take part in the various competitions from cooking to painting to cattle and lots of other categories to. Go to www.gawlershow.org.au and sign up via an entry form.
School Photos
- These have arrived and will be sent home to students over the next couple of days.

Fees 2022
- The 2022 Fee Policy and Schedule is being sent home today (paper copy) with students. All families are to read and return the 2022 Tuition Fee Agreement form by Weds 1 Dec 2021.

iGOSH
Vac Care
- The Big Dec / Jan Vac Care Program will be out Week 6. iGOSH will be available from Thurs 9 Dec to Fri 29 Jan 2022 (closed from 24/12/21 to 9/1/22)
Reminders
- Scan the QR code or sign in at the front desk
- Wear a mask when entering our service
- Please ring / email extra bookings needed in the week of. We close bookings 2pm the Friday before, so changes made online after this for that week will not be on our booking sheets.
- We hope you are enjoying reading your child’s observations. We would love some comments after you have read them.
- All children need to apply sunscreen and wear a hat when at iGOSH. We have hat drawers, where the children can leave a spare school hat for when they come to iGOSH. If you would like to purchase a spare hat to leave here ($10 charged to your iGOSH account) please ask staff and they will help you with this.
- Please do not let your child(ren) write the time or sign the sign sheets on front desk. These are legal documents.
Uniform / Lost Property
- There are still so many rugby jumpers in the lost property box in the office. Please ensure all hats and jumpers / drink bottles and lunch boxes are clearly named so that misplaced items can be returned.

End of 2021 Year Arrangements
- Christmas in Coming Friday 3 December at Immanuel on the oval 5pm to 8pm with jumpy castle, face painting, food and drinks, Christmas Carols
- Our last school day for 2021 is Wednesday 8 December
- The End of Year and Graduation Service will be held that day. We will advise who can attend as time draws closer.
- Celebration Evening for Yr 6’s will be on the Thursday evening 9 December. More details closer to the time.
- iGOSH will start the school holiday program from Thursday 9 December
COVID Requirements
The Department for Education has clarified the following:
- Parents coming on site are not required to wear a mask outdoors provided that they can physically distance (1.5m).
- Masks are still required to be worn by parents indoors (classrooms and office). The advice remains that parent numbers should be limited onsite.
- Masks are optional for all staff (& students) in schools, preschools and children’s centres
- Please to continue to check in via the QR code or complete the hard copy sign-in sheet in the office
