Welcome to 2022 and the Senior Unit


Not a traditional start to the year but still very exciting as students enter the final year of primary schooling and we get to mould and test a new learning space. As a teaching cohort, we look forward to working with you all.

This Senior Unit Blog is where we post the Monday Memos each week. From time to time, other information will also be posted. If the info is important enough, we will endeavour to email you a link as well to that posting.

If you haven’t picked your child’s up, please come in and do so as soon as you can. Big thank you to those who have already managed to do that.

Remote Learning Daily Plans

The remote learning plans will be posted here on the blog the day prior to those learning engagements being set. While we have set it up in a timetable, we understand the need that some people will need to be flexible. We encourage everyone to do the best they can.

Graduation is a week and a half away, so I pose this question to you… what type of graduation parent do you think you’ll be this year? Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. We hope they enjoy! Graduation Evening Please see your invite for the details of time. The evening will commence with the graduation ceremony and will lead into an evening of enjoying each other’s company one last time as a group.  So that things run smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. Uniform The next two school days we are wearing sport uniform so that our formal uniforms are clean and tidy for the graduation ceremony and evening. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
