MONDAY MEMOS (on Tuesday)Week 7 Term 1

Maths - Maccas or bust

In maths over the past week we have been looking at distance and speed. As a part of the inquiry students have measured the distance to Maccas Gawler and gathered data about their average walking speed to work out whether it is possible to walk to and from Macdonalds within a single lesson and a lunch time.

We are planning to test in real time our theoretical results on Monday March 20

On reaching Macdonalds students will be able to make a purchase.

Students are asked to bring a maximum of $5 for this experience if they want to take up the offer of purchasing.

No spelling homework this week.

1000 Mathletics points is still expected.

Canberra Camp Cooking Consortium

We’ll be holding a ’cooking day’ in preparation for our Canberra Camp.

This helps keep costs down (and is good fun!!)

Have a think about whether you can / would like to help out.

When we have compiled a list of those who can, we’ll feed out some more information.
