Monday Memos Week 7 Term 2

SPELLING

There is no spelling homework this week.

KITCHEN - There will be no cooking this week as we will be planning for the Street Food Night.

We are always grateful for the help of our volunteers. As the Street Food Night draws closer we would welcome help from any volunteers who are available on Thursday Week 8 (22/6) and Week 9 (29/6). The sessions are 9.10-11.00am (Chinese, German, French) and 12.10-1.40pm (Polish, Italian, Greek)

Part of the Street Food Night planning may require recipes sourced from individuals. If you have a recipe that matches your groups dish to contribute, please bring it tomorrow.

CHRISTIAN STUDIES-

For Christian Studies we are looking at Christianity in the World.  This weeks topic is: 

Why are people religious?, and Christian denominations. To help us out we would love it if you could take this survey.

Term 2 Week 7 Whole School Update…

 

Cabaret - Friday 23 June 2023 - 6.30pm till 8.30pm

  • Be entertained by our students and staff who can sing, dance, act and share their talents
  • Mingle with your friends, BYO nibbles / supper, drinks available to purchase

  • If you have a sibling due to commence in 2025 please ensure you have submitted an enrolment application form so we can include them into our data base.  2024 intake is almost complete.

Uniform

  • With the cold mornings please ensure your child/ren have their green jumper / sport rugby jumpers with them.  Please ensure they are clearly named.
  • We have many items in the lost property box in the office with no names.     

 

iGOSH

July Vac Care

  • Term 2 is a 9 week term, followed by 3 weeks school holidays.   Click here to see the holiday program
  • Bookings can be made up till 5pm Tues 20 June, via www.carebookings.com.au with code KTQQ3 as the login
  • Some days are already full, so if it doesn’t allow you to book the day, then there are no spots left. If you would like to go on the waiting list please email Katrina.
  • iGOSH fees need to be under $500 and last vac care paid for. Account reminders will be emailed this week.

Changes

  • We are now open at 6.45am. Our closing time is still 6pm.
  • Fees have increased, please refer to the website.
  • “No Booking” charge is applied if children arrive at iGOSH with no booking.

Electronic Sign In

  • This has been going really well
  • Thanks to all parents for using your pin codes and being patient as we get better at using this new system.
  • We will continue with this for a few weeks and will then introduce the new Parent Booking App (more details to come later)

Wanted

  • iGOSH is in need of regular boxes for our Creative Corner  
  • Boxes are to be no larger than cereal size
  • Please drop off your boxes to the iGOSH room
  • We would like regular boxes, so if you can help us out with bringing your recycling boxes here, rather than in your bins, we would greatly appreciate it
  • We are also on the look out for scrap material. If you have any, we would love that too

We enjoyed two full classes today and are ecstatic that things are back to normal. We are excited that Stephanie Alexander  Gardening is on tomorrow 9-10 (6E) and 10-11(6S) and K itchen will start on Wednesday 9-10.30 (6E) and 11.40-1.10 (6S) Tomorrow at 2.10 - 2.40 (6S) and 2.30- 3.00 (6E) ,  we are planning to go on a local excursion to the area known as Taikondi,the place where the rivers meet, to delve into a nature observation to support our Christian Studies unit about how Australians express spirituality. Mondays Memos Term 4 Week 3

  It’s Week 3 and things are heating up with the anticipation of Exhibition in Week 4.  YEAR 6 EXHIBITION 2023 Wednesday November 8 Warrinthi Basement 6.15 - 8pm A sausage sizzle will be provided for Parents and Caregivers and drinks will be available. All students are expected to attend the Exhibition Evening.  Please email us with any extenuating circumstances.  We hope that students will be spending time, if needed, planning and preparing for their exhibit at home.
