Lights, camera, concert!
This week is all about concert and when Mr Hueppauff gives us a spare moment, we will be working on the initial planning of Exhibition.

Term 3 Week 8 Whole School Update…
School Concert- Upper Primary (4, 5 & 6)
- Its concert week!
- Matinee performance Thursday 14 September 1:30pm
- Evening performance Thursday 14 September 6:30pm
- Dress rehearsal on Tuesday 12 September 11.40-1.40pm
- Students in Fn,1, 2 & 3 will be watching the Matinee performance
- Most year 4,5,6 families have now replied to the invitation via Operoo and reserved their seats.
- There are still seats remaining for the matinee so we welcome parents from Fn, Yr 1, 2, 3 to attend.
- There are only a few more seats remaining for the evening performance. If you need more seats for your family contact the school office before end of day Weds.
- Students need to arrive by 6.15pm for the Evening Concert
- Year 4's will meet in the year 5 class room
- Year 5's will meet in the year 5 class room
- Year 6's will meet in the year 6 class room
- Parking will be available in all our car park areas, and on the oval
UNIFORM – Warm weather
Students can wear their full Summer uniform from this week with the weather being a little warmer than usual
Student Free Day (whole school)
- This Friday 15 September
- iGOSH will be open for those families needing OSHC.
(No Subway Lunches on Fri 15/9)
After School Sports Expressions of Interest Form
- If your child has an interest to join an After School Sports program starting Term 4 and into next year (eg Basketball, Netball, Futsal, Cricket) please respond by Thursday 14 Sept via Operoo. Click on this link https://groups.operoo.com/forms/1117541/submissions/new
- The above date is the final deadline to secure a spot in a school team for your child.
Worship and Praise

- Term 3 Closing W&P will be on Friday 29 September starting at 10.30am and will be led by Mrs Heidi Gogoll
- Parents and friends are welcome to join us.
- Gawler Lutheran Church volunteers will offer “Coffee B4 Worship & Praise” from 9.45am in Taikondi

iGOSH
Pupil Free Day
- Friday 15 September iGOSH is open. However online bookings have now closed. Confirmations will be on Operoo today with an outline for the day. Please contact Katrina direct to cancel or enquire about vacancies for care.
October Vac Care
- The program is on the schools website.
- Bookings can be made on the Spike Booking App up until Friday 22/9.
- Some days are already full. If there are no options to book on the days you require then this means the day is full. If you would like to be added to a waiting list for that day, please email Katrina.
- We encourage families to prioritize their bookings to be based on work commitments, as this will allow working families to utilise the service over children just coming in for a fun day.
- Confirmation and Consent forms will then be sent home via Operoo after the 22/9
- Bookings made after this date are charged as casual bookings and are based on availability.
- Cancellations made after week 9 and with more than 24 hours notice incur a $10 cancellation fee, per day, per child.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged at the full rate.

Sports Day and Colour Splatacular Run for Fun Day
· Friday 22 September 9am to 2pm
· Venue is Gawler Sport and Community Centre - Nixon Street (Gawler Showgrounds)
· During the Sports Day, students are involved in team games, relays and some individual events
· Parents and friends welcome to attend and there will be a fun event for parents to participate in too
· Sausage sizzle / Bacon n Egg Sandwiches, Coffee van, cold drinks for sale to parents
· There will be NO SUBWAY this week, instead Students can pre-order a Sausage by bringing in $2.50 / sausage and giving the money directly to their classroom teacher.
· The Run for Fun Colour Splatacular will be held at the conclusion of Sports Day. As children complete laps of an obstacle course, they will have the option of being splatted with coloured powder and slime on their t-shirts by staff and parent helpers.
· Fundraising for the Colour Splatacular is through www.plantadifference.com.au. Logon and create a safe online profile and start fundraising. We are giving back to the environment and going green! Money you fundraise can be directed to support the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor in WA or support coral planting on the Great Barrier Reef in QLD. This fundraiser will also greatly benefit our school with proceeds going to build the new vegetable garden at the front of the school.
You have until Friday 22 September 2023 to fundraise.

· Thurs 28 Sept - The Lion King at Shedley Theatre Elizabeth (F,3,6 attending). Please reply to the Operoo e-form for consent.
· Thurs 28 Sept - SAPSASA Footy Carnival (for selected Yr 5/6’s as per Operoo request via Mr Cochrane)
· Fri 29 Sept - End Term 3, normal dismissal time 3.25pm
