World Kindness Day / Special Friends Day: Monday 13th November

  • Thank you to everyone for participating in World Kindness day, by wearing something bright and colourful, donating a gold coin, enjoying the pancakes.  
  • It was also wonderful to see so many special friends / grandparents here today, enjoying the morning with our students.

Car Boot Sale (Garage sale @ Immanuel)

Scholastic Book Club Issue 8

  • These were sent home last week
  • Orders due in by Friday 24 November, some great Christmas gift ideas 
  • Thank you for supporting Scholastic Book Club throughout the year.  Your purchases provide a credit note back to our school enabling us to get some new books for our Library.  

 

Scholastic Book Fair 2023

  • Coming to Immanuel Gawler on Monday 27 November to Friday 1 December
  • There will be lots of books and stationery items on display for students and their parents to purchase
  • Stay tuned for shopping hours

 

iGOSH

New “Pay as you Go” system

·       Please sign and return the new direct debit / fee agreement by the end of this week.  

·       All accounts need to be up to date, with only 1 weeks of fees outstanding

·       Bookings will be cancelled and the Booking App blocked if accounts aren’t up to date by the end of this week

iGOSH Christmas Closure Dates

  • Friday 22 December 2023 to Friday 5 January 2024
  • The Dec / Jan Holiday program will be finalised and shared with parents this week.
  • It will come home in class trays, be on the website and via Operoo.
  • Bookings will open Friday 17/11 at 10am, with 2 weeks for bookings

  • If you need to make last minute bookings or cancel bookings, please contact the IGOSH mobile 0447 661 555
  • Please avoid calling the office as they aren’t aware of our numbers, hence there may not be a spot
  • If you call the mobile to make extra, short notice bookings, iGOSH staff can still put notes in class trays and email staff about children needing to come to iGOSH at short notice.

Year 6 Graduation evening – Thurs 14 Dec 6.00pm (for Yr 6 students and their parents – invites out soon)

Graduation is a week and a half away, so I pose this question to you… what type of graduation parent do you think you’ll be this year? Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. The evening will commence with the graduation ceremony and will lead into an evening of enjoying each other’s company one last time as a group.  So that things run smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
