2021 Class Placements
- This is a reminder that any information parents want to provide us regarding their child’s class placement for 2021 is now due in by tomorrow midday Tuesday 27 October. (We’ve extended it by a day).
- Please do this via logging onto www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code cftqc.
- Generally this input will be around learning needs and information that will help us place students in class groups for maximum success. We ask that families refrain from ‘requesting teachers’ especially as teaching staff can change (due to either leaving our school or changing grades).
Immanuel Gawler Feedback / Information Survey Term 4 2020
- This is due by COB Tuesday 27 October 2020.
- Please click on the link below to complete through survey monkey. Your input will greatly help us as we make decisions/plans for 2021 and beyond. Thanks to those who have already submitted their response.
Daly Street Carpark access
- Next Wednesday morning (4 November) the Daly St carpark will be closed due to significant traffic (associated with the new building) entering and exiting the school. If possible please use Lyndoch Rd entrance or enter from East Tce. School Lane will be accessible but you can expect some delays.
IB PYP Evaluation
- This week from Tuesday to Friday we have special visitors from the World IB Evaluation Team here at Immanuel. They will be speaking to school leadership, teachers, parents, students and our school council about our PYP educational program. This process occurs every 5 years to maintain our IB accreditation.
Valuing Safe Communities (VSC) - Volunteer Training for parents / friends
- This Weds 28 October at 2.45pm and 6.30pm in the admin building with Daryl. This is a requirement for parents and family members wanting to volunteer at Immanuel, (eg attending excursions, camps & class activities).
- The Working with Children Check (WWCC) is also a Government requirement to volunteer or work in a school environment. The WWCC check can be initiated via emailing jennyj@ilsg.sa.edu.au with your name and date of birth. It is free as a volunteer.
Disco this Friday 30 October for students in Taikondi
· Foundation and Year 1 students @ 3.45pm to 4.30pm (This is the correct time)
Parents can stay too if their child needs some settling in.
Students can bring one item of clothing to change into (eg a special top or shoes).
· Year 2 and Year 3 students @ 6.00pm to 7.15pm
Parents are unable to remain at school during the disco.
Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6 students @ 7.30pm until 8.45pm
· Parents are unable to gather and stay onsite during the disco.
· Please return the registration form and $3 by Weds. Tickets will be sent home Friday – Children need to remember to bring their ticket to gain entry.
October is National Dyslexia Awareness Month
- Guess “how many lollies are in the jar” competition @ 50c a go, is in the office till Mon 2 Nov
- Come and have a guess!
- Money raised will go to purchase dyslexia friendly resources.
Wellbeing and Circle Time

Family Photo Session (P&F fundraiser)
There are still a few spots remaining in the $20 family photo session which includes a 8x10 print.

iGOSH
· iGOSH will be available during Dec/Jan school holiday time from Thurs 10 Dec through to Fri 18 Dec 2020. Then closed for Christmas and New Year, reopening on Monday 4 January 2021. The program will be out approx the 11 Nov.
End of 2020 Year Arrangements
- Our last school day for 2020 is Wednesday 9 December
- The End of Year and Graduation Service will be held that day. However due to Covid regulations still in place at this stage we cannot yet advise if parents will be able to attend
- Celebration Evening for Yr 6’s will be on the Thursday evening 10 December
- iGOSH will start the school holiday program from Thursday 10 December
