Whole School Update…

Welcome

Welcome back to Term 2 2021.  We hope everyone had a restful break. 

This is a 9 week term.  School will break up on Friday 25 June and have a 3 week holiday break.

Uniform Term 2

  • A reminder that Winter formal is to be worn in term 2 and 3
  • Shoes on formal uniform days should be a black shoe which is able to ‘take a shine’ and be a ‘leather look’.

Walk My Way

When:   Saturday 1 May 2021

Where:  Starting at Redeemer School Nuriootpa to St Jakobi at Lyndoch (26kms).
Time:  7am for brekkie & opening ceremony, 8.15am start walking

Subway Lunches

  • This will start again this week.  Lunches in Weds 28 April  for lunch on Fri 30 April.  Forms can be collected from the office, on our website, plus one going home today.

Vacation Care

  • We hope all the children who came to Vacation Care had a fun time. Please have a look at our photo wall and Day Book to see and read all the fun things we did.
  • We would love some feedback from parents, both positives and things we can improve on. So please leave this on the feedback sheet at our front desk, or email Katrina
  • There is a box full of lost property. We have jumpers, socks, hats and drink bottles. Please pop in and have a look to see if anything belongs to you. If there is anything left there by Tuesday next week, it will be donated to a charity shop.
  • Invoices for vacation care will be emailed out this week

iGOSH Scrap books

  • Over the first 2 weeks of this term, staff will share with you all the observations and learning stories from Term 1 and vacation Care. Please spend some time reading them. After this we are then aiming to provide all of this on Seesaw. More information about this will be emailed out in the next few weeks.

Graduation is a week and a half away, so I pose this question to you… what type of graduation parent do you think you’ll be this year? Monday Memos Week 9 Term 4

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. We hope they enjoy! Graduation Evening Please see your invite for the details of time. The evening will commence with the graduation ceremony and will lead into an evening of enjoying each other’s company one last time as a group.  So that things run smoothly, we ask that you arrive on time. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
