Monday Memos Week 2 Term 1 and Daily Plan for Tuesday

Week two of our strange start to the year. From the classroom, we hope you can encourage your child to ask questions if they need help. Here are some other bits to consider:

Gardening Gear

Those students on-site at school tomorrow have the opportunity to help lay some turf on the bottom oval space. For this to happen please remind your child to bring in some gardening clothes an spare shoes. The will get dirty.

Daily Plan

Whole School Updates

We congratulate our school community for the approach and efforts last week, whether on-site or off-site.

It wasn’t an ideal way to start a new year but our staff, students and parents did their best to make the most out of the week.

At this stage we still anticipate we will all be back face-to-face on Monday 14 February 2022.

Carparking

The new Daly Street Car Park will have line marking done tomorrow and so we will continue to park on the oval for a couple more days.

  • Foundation Parents can park on the Oval (Foundation students to meet at the Junior Primary Playground from 8.30am)
  • Yr 1 Parents can park along School Lane or Top Deck parking  (Year 1 students to meet on the Top Deck Playground from 8.30am
  • Yr 2-6 parents can park on either Oval, School Lane or Top Deck (Year 2-6 students to meet in Warrinthi Courtyard from 8.30am)
  • At the end of the day we will do things in reverse (ie Foundations will be waiting on the Junior Primary Playground, Yr 1’s on the Top Deck Playground and Yr 2-6 will meet for collection where best suits them).

Onsite Bookings

  • If you need to amend or book in your child/ren for iGOSH (F-6) or Onsite Online Learning (Yrs 2-6) for any days from Wednesday 2 February to Friday 12 February you can still do so via www.carebookings.com.au and the code KTQQ3 and follow the prompts.  We will print daily reports of who will be onsite.

Offsite Online Learning

  • The Remote Learning Support Hotline number is 08 8520 6200.   Monique or Jarrah from Prosperity Team (our IT support company) will help answer your questions.  We also have a webpage https://prosperitytech.solutions/school-from-home/  which has basic troubleshooting tips and how to access TeamViewer.
  • Richie Cochrane (ICT Coordinator) is also a point of contact - via the school office or email richiec@ilsg.sa.edu.au

Valuing Safe Communities Training

  • One of our processes we ask parents/caregivers to undertake if they want to volunteer in our school is VSC – Valuing Safe Communities. As we don’t have too many volunteer opportunities happening at the moment, we will delay this training until we can have people onsite to do it face to face.
  • If you have done VSC once, you can do the refresher training on-line by yourself. You juts need to gather the details for doing this from Jenny in the office.

Covid Safe

  • If your child contracts Covid 19 you MUST notify the school as soon as you can.
  • Please do not send any child to school if they have any symptoms at all.
  • Adults must wear a mask at all times when on site please and parents cannot enter classrooms.
  • It has been recommended by DfE and SA Health that students in Yr 3-6 also wear a mask when on site and these will need to be supplied by parents/families.
