Here are the last things you will need to know for 2022…..

Collection of iPads 

All iPads for students departing at the end of term have now been decommissioned from the school network, wiped clean of all data and are ready for collection.

We now ask for families to finalise any remaining payment and collect iPads from the front office staff during school hours this week. iPads need to be collected by Parents or Caregivers only. 

To clarify any amounts owing or if you have any queries please contact our finance officer

Graduation and Celebration Evening

If you haven’t booked please attend to that.(forms were sent via Operoo.)

On Tuesday students may wear sport uniform.

Students will be wearing formal uniform on Wednesday for the afternoon end of year service.

Students are expected to be wearing formal uniform on Thursday evening.

Reports

There were a small number of Year 6’s at school today who received their report.  

If your child was absent, expect to see their report envelope Tuesday afternoon.

Whole School Info Term 4 Week 9 2022

 

Another year has passed on quickly again.  We thank you for your support and encouragement of our school during 2022. 

We wish you all every blessing for the festive season and a safe and happy holiday break.  

 

2023 Class Groupings 

·         Today we held “Move Up” day which gave students the opportunity to meet their 2023 teacher and spend time in their new classroom and group. 

·         Student Book packs were sent home.  Please read the note provided by your 2023 teacher, cover and label the books and return on the first day back in 2023.  

·         Student Semester 2 reports and 2023 class lists have been sent home in a sealed envelope addressed to parents.  Students have been told not to open these envelopes, they are to give to their parent for opening.      

·         PLP’s and music reports are also included for those applicable students.

Last day of School is Wed 14 Dec 2022

  • Students are to wear their formal summer school uniform (except for Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students who wear sports uniform)
  • The Closing Worship and Praise service will be held at 2.15pm.  Parents will be welcome to attend, however please respond via the e-form on Operoo so that we can assess the risk associated with the rising occurrences of Covid and set up enough seating for everyone.   
  • Students will return to their class following the service and then will be dismissed at 3.25pm. 
  • The Year 6 Graduation and Celebration event will be on the Thursday 15 December starting at 6pm for year 6 students and their parents only.  
  • The Zion Preschool will be hold their end of year services here in Taikondi on Tuesday and Wednesday evening this week 

 

Important Dates for 2023

  • Fri 13 Jan -  Office open 8.30am to 4pm for payment of accounts (first instalment is due / early payment discount due date and School Uniform Shop open)
  • Weds 25  Jan - Office and School Uniform Shop Open 8.30am to 4pm
  • If you need an uniform appointment outside these hours please email jennyj@ilsg.sa.edu.au to request a time.  
  • Mon 30 Jan - First day of school for 2023 8.50am start – 3.25pm finish
  • Tues 31 Jan - Parent Information Evening starts at 6.45pm for all classes

At Immanuel School starting at 5.30pm with free sausage sizzle and craft, 6.30-7.30pm Christmas play and Carols 

At Immanuel Worship Centre (Cnr 2nd & 7th Streets Gawler) at  8.00pm Carols

Christmas Day 

9.00am at Immanuel Worship Centre  

 

Reminders

  • Library Books - if you still have library books at home please return them ASAP
  • Uniform / Lost Property - there are still so many rugby jumpers, hats and lunch boxes etc in the lost property box in the office. Items not claimed this year will be sorted and if any are in good condition will be sold via the 2nd hand uniform shop next year.
  • Uniform Reminder - from 2023 all students in F, 1, 2 & 3 will wear the sports uniform only  

(ie the formal girls & boys uniform items will not be worn until your child reaches year 4).  See the office staff for uniform purchases.  

  • 2024 Enrolments - if you have a sibling due to start in 2024, please ensure you have submitted the enrolment application form into the school office, so that we have your child’s name on our data base.    

 

Immanuel's Bus Service - 2023

  • Our bus service has been running for a couple of years now, and has become very popular with families which is terrific. 

2023 is almost full already with those continuing on from 2022.  If we need to fill seats we will advertise accordingly.

Vac Care for Dec / Jan Holidays

·         Bookings have now closed. For all extra bookings, changes and cancellations, please contact Katrina on M: 0447 661 555 or katrinap@ilsg.sa.edu.au

·         We are very full this vac care with most days having a waiting list. If you need to cancel bookings, please let me know as soon as you can, as your spot can then be given to other children. Our service is licensed for 75, so this is why we need to have waiting lists. As our service continues to grow it is very important that bookings are made before the cut off date as after this you will not be guaranteed a spot.  
All children attending this vac care will need their consent form filled in via Operoo. Today is the last day. So please attend to this ASAP.  

·         Hats and sunscreen are compulsory this vac care. So please make sure your child comes each day with a hat or has a hat here in our drawers. Please also help with applying the first coat of sunscreen at home or here when you arrive.

·         We are looking forward to having lots of fun with the children

·         2023 Term 1 bookings will be open on Mon 9 Jan 2023 via carebookings

Here we are, a couple days left. It would be interesting to know how all the students are feeling. I do know that some can’t wait to move on and some don’t want to leave. As always, many are probably feeling a little bit from column A and column B.  Reports Reports to go out tomorrow.  Pizza Lunch Tomorrow Tomorrow, as a gift to the students, Tayla and I have organised a pizza lunch for students. Monday Memos Week 7 Term 4

Creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, but the work doesn’t stop…  Academics   The big ticket item in class right now is responding to the Ted Hughes novel The Iron Man. The Playberry literacy routines will continue through to the end of the year and in maths we are currently playing around with algebra and problem solving.  End of Year Guff As a part of the student graduation, we are after a photo of each child from when they commenced school (Foundation). If your child commenced at a different school, we would love it if you could email us a digital copy so we can add it to the presentation.  For the graduation evening, it is expected that students are wearing formal summer uniform.
