Monday Memos Week 6 Term 1
Pizza making- Well done to everyone who volunteered and helped to contribute to Canberra Camp fund
Teaching staff- We are grateful to Mr Monaghan stepping up to cover for Mrs. Eckermann during her recent absence. We hope to see her return on Thursday.
Kitchen- This Thursday our students are producing morning tea for Lutheran School leaders who are meeting at Immanuel on Friday. We welcome kitchen helpers at each session - German, Chinese, French 9.30-11am and Polish, Italian, Greek 12.10-1.40pm.
Mathletics- We encourage all students to aim to reach their 1000 points by World Maths Day Wednesday.

Learning Conferences

And next week on Weds 15 March 3.45pm to 7.30pm
- The booking system is now closed and schedules printed, however if you missed out on booking a time, please contact the school office and they can assist booking a time for you.
- If the above dates were not suitable for you, contact your class teacher to book another suitable day.
Conferences are a time for teachers to meet parents (with their children in some year levels) and discuss learning plans for 2023 and answer any questions.
Reminder regarding after school play
A reminder that children are not to be playing on the playground after school without the supervision of their parents/caregivers.
Specialist Teachers Conferences
For those parents/carers who would like to see our specialist teachers, they will be cooking a sausage sizzle on Tuesday night (Week 6) and Wednesday night (Week 7) and would love it if you drop in and say hello. School Performance - Wadjiny
On Thursday afternoon, starting 2:15, we have a visiting performer joining us to present a show for all classes. The show is called ‘Wadjiny’ and it’s an Aboriginal cultural experience. It will be in Taikondi and will go for an hour.

Parents & Friends (P&F)
- Next meeting is Mon 20 March at 7pm.
- Any parents wanting to join this group are welcome to attend. Our P&F group do a great job helping at school events, fundraising for special items, plus it’s a great opportunity to get to know other parents in the school.
- Children love it when their mum or dad can help with things at school.

Tennis anyone?
- Gawler Lutheran Church, Immanuel School Gawler & Zion Preschool are organising a Tennis tournament day for school families and children
- Sunday 26 March from 12.30 to 4.30pm at Gawler Tennis Courts, Victoria Terrace Gawler
- Hot Shots Tennis and other fun games are being organised for the children to enjoy during the day
- First doubles game for the adults starts at 1.30pm. There are 5 courts booked so we can organise a 3 hour tennis tournament during the afternoon
- BYO picnic lunch, drinks and snacks can be purchased.

iGOSH
Term 1 Bookings
· Bookings close 2pm each Friday for the week ahead
· Any bookings needed after this need to be emailed / text / phone call to Katrina. Please don’t make the bookings for the week of on carebookings as we won’t have them in our booking folder, which we download and print at 2pm each Friday.
Homework
· We offer Homework time from 3.45 to 4.15pm each afternoon. This is supervised by iGOSH staff. If you would like your child to be reminded and encouraged to do their homework during this time, please record their name and days required on the list at the iGOSH front desk. We will then remind children to do their homework, if they choose not to then we will let you know. Please have the conversations at home if you would like your children to do homework while at iGOSH.
Planning and Programming
· Our 2023 planning and programming cycle starts this week and we are excited to offer Programmed Activities and a Cooking Class each week. This will be on top of all the other great activities that we have set up at iGOSH. We look forward to sharing Observations again with you via Seesaw.

- If you have any empty boxes that we could use for box construction, we would love to have them. Boxes no bigger than cereal ones please. Drop them off at iGOSH
