Circle Time and the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum
KS:CPC is an empowering educational program that focuses on child safety, it recognises the importance of both families and schools working together and communication between us aids this process. The Focus Area delivered this term is ‘Recognising and Reporting Abuse’ and given the nature of the content to be delivered, we thought families would appreciate some more specific communication and support around this. We recognise that some families may wish to discuss these topics with their child/ren at home prior to the content being delivered at school.
We have attached year level information, with the corresponding email, that advises on the specific content being delivered for this Focus Area (and all other Focus Areas) and how you can support your child with this learning. This may assist in guiding the types of discussions you may like to have with your children prior, throughout or post-delivery at school. If, however, you have any questions or queries that the information sheets do not answer, please let us know and we are more than happy to assist you. Delivery of Focus Area 3: Recognising and Reporting Abuse will commence in classrooms in Week 6 of this term.
More information in addition to these information sheets can be found on the KS:CPC website: http://kscpc.2.vu/DE_ParentsCarers. Please contact you child’s classroom teacher if you have any unanswered or specific questions about the curriculum being delivered in your child’s classroom. Daryl Trigg: Darylt@ilsg.sa.edu.au, Simon Wundersitz: Simonw@ilsg.sa.edu.au , Andrew Boesch: Andrewb@ilsg.sa.edu.au or Heidi Gogoll: Heidig@ilsg.sa.edu.au can also be contacted should you require further support thereafter.

Absentees / Running Late / Picking up Early
- If your child is absent, please send through the details via the new Operoo Form at this link https://groups.operoo.com/forms/962985/submissions/new or telephone the school absent line 85225740 (Option 2) by 9.30am. Please do not email the class teacher or admin staff.
- The school day begins at 8.50am. Parents are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that their child/ren arrive at school in plenty of time to be well enough organised so they are INSIDE their classroom at 8:50am. Students who arrive after this time are considered late and need to be signed in at the office by the parent / caregiver.
- The school day ends at 3.25pm so children are expected to be at school until this time. If you need to pick up early a note to your teacher in the morning is really helpful. Phone calls to the office are welcome, although can be delayed if other priorities come along. Please report to the school office and sign your child out whilst your child is called to the office.
